HISTORY OF DERBY DOG OF THE YEAR WINNERS

To win the Derby Dog Of The Year, the dog must be less than 36 months of age. The winner will be the dog that earned the most in region open points from the previous year’s regional up until the current year’s regional. If a dog turned over 36 months of age during the trial season, the in region points the dog earned during the season when it was less than 36 months of age will count towards the award. In the event there are no dogs of age that earned in region open points, the dog of age that earned the most in region amateur points will be the winner. In the event there is not a winner, the year will just be vacant, and the previous winner will still hold the trophy.
